The Pegasus' responsive cushioning delivers an energetic ride
for everyday street running. Experience energy return with less weight thanks to
dual Zoom Air units and a ReactX foam midsole. Plus, an improved, custom mesh
upper reduces weight and increases airflow.
Nike PegasusFor more than four decades, the Nike Pegasus has
served runners around the world with its beloved reliability. The Nike Pegasus
41 delivers the soft, responsive ride that the Pegasus series is known for,
while also advancing its innovative technology and features.
Much of the praise for the Pegasus series is due to its
unparalleled combination of Zoom Air units and Nike foam. New for this year's
model is a full-length Nike ReactX foam midsole, which delivers over 13% more
energy return than the Nike React foam in the Pegasus 40. The introduction of
ReactX foam unlocks a responsive feel and helps reduce Nike's carbon
footprint.
With the Planet in MindBuilt for performance and with the
planet in mind, ReactX foam is specifically designed to reduce the carbon
footprint of a pair of midsoles by at least 43%. This is achieved by reducing
the energy required in the manufacturing process compared to the previous React
foam.
The carbon footprint of ReactX foam is based on a
product-to-product assessment, verified by PRe Sustainability B.V. and Intertek
China. Other midsole components, such as Air units, overlays or other foam
compositions, were not taken into account.
To round out the plush cushioning, the Pegasus 41 features Air
Zoom units in the forefoot and heel.
Reliable fitThe Pegasus series is also known for its
reliable fit. During extensive research, Nike designers listened to the voices
of everyday runners and focused on making the upper of the Pegasus 41 more
comfortable.
The upper is made of a mesh that is now lighter, more
breathable, and more comfortable than previous models. The shoe's Dynamic
